Our centre is located next to the seafront in a building which is part of the University of Portsmouth. Both the centre and accommodation are within a short walk of the city centre, the Historic Dockyard and the Clarence Pier.
Portsmouth has a lot to offer, with sights such as the Spinnaker Tower and Southsea Castle, and is also very close to other interesting cities such as Brighton. Students have a lot to explore!
Meals are served in a large and modern self-service dining hall in the main building.
Breakfast
Continental including juice, coffee, toast, cereal and fruit – hot breakfast on Fridays.
Lunch
2 courses, 3 options including vegetarian.
Packed lunches (provided at weekends): water, fruit, sandwich, crisps and biscuits/cake.
Evening Meal
2 courses, 3 options including vegetarian and halal option.

Arrival
Students will be welcomed upon arrival at Rees Hall where they will register and get their room keys and can check-in to their rooms.
Welcome
On the first evening there will be a welcome activity which is designed to ensure students have the opportunity to meet staff and other students and get to know more about the campus, its facilities and useful information which will help them during their stay.
Activities
Activities are organised in between lessons and during evenings. These activities could be on-site or near to the centre. These may include:
London: Visit London and see the magnificent Westminster and the world-known National Gallery
Brighton: Enjoy this vibrant popular seaside city with beautiful architecture and visit The Sea Life Centre and The Palace Pier
Oxford: Students can get to know the famous university city and visit one of its most famous colleges
London & Madame Tussauds
Beaulieu Motor Museum
Thorpe Park: enjoy extreme rides and other attractions at this popular theme park.
Extra
Each 14-night stay will include a number of local visits and 2 full-day excursions to either London, Oxford, or Brighton. Transport for trips may be by private coach or public transport.
Students may have lessons either in the morning or in the afternoon in week 1, alternating weekly after that.

If a student needs medical attention an Embassy staff member will help make an appointment. Group leaders must accompany the student to an appointment. An Embassy staff member will accompany any student that is not part of a group.
